Boundary Trail

A friend of mine and I rode the Boundary trail near McCammon Idaho. Roughly a 40 mile trip. It was absolutely beautiful and probably one of the cooler rides I have ever done.

The trail is definitely not for a beginner. If I hadn't had new tires I'm not sure I would have made it. Not without multiple flats anyway. Parts of it are pretty rough. It looked like a rain had come through and washed dirt off a lot of sharp rocks over the past few days. I can say without lockers I wouldn't go on a much harder trail. That's the one thing I wish they had put on my machine from the factory it didn't come with the 3 way switch. Just limited slip lever.

Either way, it was a nice, tight, twisty, trail with a lot of elevation loss and gain over the whole trail. Lots of side trails but we didn't hit any of those. You are in close trees with canopy for a good portion of the ride. There are some open spots with great views of the surrounding mountains and farmland.

I was pretty tired after we finished. Parts of that trail beat me up pretty good after 5 hours or so. Not too much damage to the rigs. I ripped an A arm cover off and he dinged up his plastics on both sides. and ripped a hole in his spare gas can.

I am definitely going back to this one late spring if I can.

The pics are from the open spots but they don't really do justice for how nice a trail that really is.
