Mine is doing the same thing but cuts out when I put in in 4×4 and when it's in fourwheel drive at higher RPM do you know the cause of that?

I'd follow the instruction above as for the "doing the same thing" but when it is cutting out do you have the diff lock engaged or just 4x4?

From my understanding that is a program feature of the ECM to keep owners from going too fast with the diff lock on and loosing control.

You may even experience it in 2 wheel drive while backing up too fast in reverse, at least I have experience it in reverse while I am plowing my driveway and get going faster in reverse.
