Any high temp, water resistant grease will work such as wheel bearing grease.
Or, better yet, go greaseless.

I used this stuff called Tink Seal. It comes in a little 4oz white bottle, recommended by the mechanics. Got it online from Hunter Works (I think that’s right).
Seems to be working well. It’s quiet, works well, etc. It’s been in for about 200 miles.

Honestly, don't worry about it, clean all the grease out, spotless. Put your oem weights back in dry, squeeze the cam plate down tight as you install. They run fine dry, and very little noise, not noticeable once your riding.
