Share what you did today with the Kodiak 700 community!

Example: Installed new tires and went out for a ride around the trails.

Example: Took the kodiak out for a nice mud bath!

Example: Finally got around to installing the LED light bar. The winch has been shipped now just playing the waiting game.

Anything goes....

Did the Grizzly clutch weight swap today. Also added a .5 MM shim. Didn't notice as much difference as I thought I would when accelerating, but Im still in the break in period so still taking it easy. I did notice that the engine braking was more aggressive, at least it seemed like it.
Changed out the garbage OEM starter. The starter had stuck on me before but I managed to get it spinning on the bench by jumping it a few times with my truck battery. I put it back in and it worked fine for a few months before finally shitting the bed last week. Going to pull the original apart to see if it can be rebuilt. I suspect the bonding agent on the magnets has failed.

25” Kenda Bear Claw HTR’s delivered today. Sat them next to the stock tires and measured. The front HTR’s are 1/4” taller, and the rear’s are 7/8” smaller. Will check and see if having them mounted and pressured up will change the dimensions. The rears are a lot wider and the fronts are about the same. They look awesome and I look forward to trying them out.

Until they are mounted and aired up, you won't get good measurments (height, width ) to compare to your stock tires.

Here's my new 27x9 Reptile tires beside 26x9 Growlers . Unmouted in the first pic and mounted and aired up in the second. You can see the Reptile's profile completly changed.

Looks like they "thinned out" about 1-1/2". Wasn't sure how much an 8 ply tire would change. Im not in a big hurry to get them mounted, so maybe in the next couple of weeks.
I have a couple thousand ft of gravel drive way I put in about 15 years ago I first put down a Oregon dept ground cloth then about 3 inches of 1 1/2 in rock then 3" of 3/4 minus. The grass grew into the edges and center over the years. The ground cloth did it's job keeping the dirt out of the rock from below. I bought a gravel rascal pro to bring it back. My Kodiak 700 has the added 2" receiver , I used the pin type hitch to connect to the quad not a ball as recommended by the company. It brought my drive back to new condition I have now groomed my driveway twice It is now possible to keep it like new in a matter of up and down the drive in 6 to 8 passes. Gravel rascal pro with the actuator which raises and lowers automatically at $4000 is a bargain the Kodiak 700 pulls it with no issues the gravel rascal is built to last

Installed the 25” Bear Claw HTR’s. @ 7 psi the rear measured 25” and the front 24 7/8”. Took her for a spin and I’m thinking about 6 psi for my next ride. They look great

Yesterday. Spent all day cutting up 15 storm blown over trees and stacking them on my future bonfire pile.

Put the plow on and took care of my driveway along with the neighbors.

There was only around 4" of snow but it was wet and heavy and I'm getting too old to shovel it. The Kodiak performed just like it should of and I never even put it into 4x4, that will come.

You know, I thought the same thing. This is the earliest that I have put the plow on. I am usually good until after Thanksgiving.

We have little cue’s from Mother Nature way down here in South Carolina… gonna be a real winter this year!

Jim do you think you could take your plow off just long enough to get my snows on?! Lol

Oh it's coming back off, I have a elk hunt coming up.

That's the the nice thing with the front mount plow, it goes on and comes off so easy.

Finally pulled out the dead 2500# Warn winch and installed the HF Badlands ZXR 3500 winch (early Christmas from my Wife & Daughter!). I think I'll really like the 15' wired switch that came with it as it'll make spooling the winch back up easier to do by myself and not end up with a rat's nest of cable! :)
I put the plow mount back on for the winter today. Was procrastinating bigtime thanks to the snow free winter we've had thus far. Today is our first real dumping of snow. Not bad for it being almost mid January.
We haven't had a real dumping but a lot of smaller storms with 2 to 4 inches of the white cold stuff. It will then warm up enough or start to rain to where the snow is gone by the next day.

Today we got 3 inches of real wet snow and it is almost gone on the sunny areas.

But it sure is nice to jump on the Kodiak and clear the driveway along with 1/4 mile of neighbors sidewalks in a short time.

We got a massive dumping of snow Monday night. There was approximately 50cm (20 inches) down. It was double what was predicted. I didn't think the Kodiak would do it as the snow was 3 feet deep in my driveway but, it pushed it with a vengeance. Took a while longer but did it none the less. I'm always impressed how these machines can push snow.
