BoostATV: “So why do ATVs have thumb throttles? A Thumb throttle better allows the ATV rider to shift his bodyweight for optimal vehicle maneuverability, while still maintaining precise throttle control. They are also generally considered being a safer option, especially for inexperienced riders.”
I’ve road a buddy of mine Banshee with a twist throttle and I didn’t like it at all.
I grew up racing MX and love twist throttles but an atv doesn’t lean like a motorcycle. Also going up steep inclines where my body weight is very far forward it’s easier with a thumb throttle.
