Yamaha has a difficult on their hands, differentiating between ostensibly similar machines.

How does Yamaha see it? Well the Grizzly is intended for the enthusiast rider who is seeking maximum capability. The Kodiak however is a work/hunting machine who places a premium on reliability and getting the job done over all else...

That doesn't seem like much of a difference to me. Capability vs. getting the job done seems like the same thing.

I just told you, capability vs getting the job done. They are vastly different things. Capability to climb is far different then the capability to carry 3,000 lbs payload for instance.

Tell that to Yamaha, the fact they included a the Kodiak alongside the Grizzly with the similarities and differences between them, should tell you something, and that's only whats easily obvious on the surface.

Look at the wealth of information they've provided us and you'll see what it's all about.
