I have a 2016 Kodiak ES 700. 1 month ago it became hard to start., rolling over slowly and "spitting sound. Changed the plug and battery, added Seafoam and still doing it. yesterday i started after a couple attempts let it idle 5 min took it on a very short run , turned it off and it took 5 min to get it to go. Temp outside was -2c. Any recommendations. IOt has worked great in all temperatures until a month ago.

I sold one with this same problem. The problem turned out to be a bad starter. But I felt it was likely an issue with the compression release mechanism. I was wrong, but it can be puzzling. My starter had a little bit of a whine when engaged, and then often lost enough strength to keep turning it over. Good luck with it.

Thanks . That is the problem. I should have taken the starter off at first. I figured a starter would last more than 2 years .

My starter had a whine noise when cranking, and I think that might be a good thing for others to listen to, when having starting issues.
