Square tire setup.

I'm think about getting some 28-10-12's for my Kodiak 700. I'm wondering if anyone else is using this setup and is there any issue with the 10's on rear with the wider rear wheels. I currently have bearclaws 27-9-12 front and 27-11-12 rear.

Tire profile will be different front vs rear with the same size tires on the staggered factory wheels.

It won't be a true square set up.

For a true square setup I would want same size rims front and rear?

Correct

In my case I found a matching set of front wheels for 50$. So i have 12x6" wheels all around with 27 × 9" tires.

Do you think 10's all around might be too much?

Not at all..... My grizzly originally had 27x10R14 Zillas all around from the factory.

I sold them as to get away from the 14" wheels, and I already had my current square set up from my previous grizzly

I also joined Vincent with the skinny-square setup. I love it! But I will add that a 10” wide tire will add weight to your steering compared to 9” tire. I went from 10” down to 9” and the steering is lighter and dances easier. Also, the 9” rear is lighter and more spirited. I’m running 27-9-12.

Agree with the others, square tire setup is a supreme setup for a trail ATV. Using the same wheel on all four corners, I wouldn’t be as concerned with a 10” front width tire, I’d be more concerned how the large 28” diameter tire negatively impacts the performance because of the increased weight and diameter for a spirited trail machine. Mud runner, I’m not sure as that’s not my thing.
I've been running 27's I ride alot of rocky trails we're I appreciate the extra clearance I also have the bike clutched for the bigger tires. I'm looking at a cheaper set of Chinese tires so if they're junk I won't mind to much 😬
