I've never tried turkey hunting in the spring I'm usually too distracted with other stuff in the spring with morels and fishing it doesn't leave a lot of time for other stuff. Luckily we get a fall season and we can shoot them while out grouse and duck hunting.
Sold all my fishing boats 'bout 4 years ago. Washington has destroyed the salmon fishing, so now my springs are freed up. Usually go to my elk hunting spots and scout around, shoot coyotes, but a lot of gobblers are showing up so I'm gonna give it a try.
I'm on a deer hunting lease on the lower eastern shore of Maryland that is 1800 acres. For years we have only been aloud to deer hunt. This year we are aloud to turkey hunt. It hasn't been turkey hunted for at least 20 years. Im pumped!!!
