Snow plow?

Does anyone know when the warn standard snow plow will be available online? Has anyone used any types or universal snow plow mounts in their Kodiak 700 yet? I don't want to use a universal plow mount but I'm growing impatient with the availability for snow plows for my new Kodiak 700. Thanks

snow plow

I was told that the snow plow will be for sale on August 26th:smile2:
You shouldn't get too impatient. It's not like there will be snow on the ground any time soon.

not sure what luck you'll have in terms of owner reviews...Kodiaks haven't seen a winter yet ;):D
But there might be reviews on the snow plows themselves. That's probably the thing that needs to be reviewed more than the Kodiak anyway in terms of how well the snow plow works.
Gizzlys would give the closest frame of reference for now, more than anything. I'm sure Yamaha has seasonal promotional material with fall and winter specific things in order to roll out.
There's always the DiY method for those who are handy. Should work with whatever you have on hand that's around the general shape.

That seems like one of the most Canadian things I've ever seen.
Lol, that's not the most Canadian thing. Someone once brought a baby moose to Tim Hortons.

Did they bring it to the Tim Hortons while riding a UTV with a homemade snowplow on it?

Or better yet a UTV with trax ;)
I contacted warn about plow mounts for the kodiak 700, they weren't very helpful, stating that they might have something in the works. Since I had my old warn plow from another quad I wanted to stay with a warm mount to save modifying. In the end I ordered a warn 88188 mid plow mount from Amazon. Mounted it up last night fits nice, easy install, old blade fits.
How did you know the 88188 mid plow mount would fit?
Interested in knowing that as well, although the Amazon listing lists it along with what it fits right up to, the Kodiak isn't included.
I called cycle country and talked to a sales rep named Lee, he stated the cycle country mount was the same for the kodiak as for a older grizzly, he gave me the cycle country number, I than looked up a warn mount for the same vintage grizzly and gave it a try. I ordered both cycle country and warn, cycle country looks to be made heavier and have better coverage but the tabs that connect to the push bars are to wide for the warn plow. The warn mount keeps the original plastic skid plate on the bike and requires drilling 6 holes in the skid plate, took about an hour to install.
If I can figure out how to post pics I will do so this weekend.
Someone installed a full plow kit with a Warn 2500 winch on their Kodiak 700.

You can see how the winch is attached to the plow.
Just thought about this... Kodiak with a trax and plow would be the ultimate winter warrior :D
Yamaha does have a set of tracks on their accessory page but you may as well go with a nice set of winter tires for that price.
That is the Warn Provantage front mount plow system...ordering this and Provantage 2500 winch tomorrow.. Also found three $50 mail in rebates on warn.com... 1 for winch, 1 for plow blade, and 1 for push tube. Rebates are good through 12/31...
