Decided to add warm winch to rear of new Kodiak 700. fabrication used existing rear receiver bolt locations and is 100 percent bolt on at this point. Looks factory and all service points are still able to be reached. If I decide to remove or replace winch can unbolt easily. Fun project and useful. ((excuse the rubber band holding winch cable on exhaust , lol .)

Did you buy a bracket to mount the winch or did you have to make one and can you still use a 2" receiver with it? I've been looking into bolting a winch on mine but can't figure out the best way to do it.

I have this mod in my plans for this summer. I am going to mount a second superwinch Terra 25 winch in back. The winch comes with a base and fairlead mount. I am going bolt or weld the base to the top of my receiver. Going to use my existingg solenoid and a three way toggle switch to switch power back and forth.

The original poster stuck around for a few months and then left.

But if you want to add a rear mounted winch I would wager that you are going to have to fab up a mount along with the wiring harness. You can add a switch to the winch control button on the handle bar to allow for the use of the front or rear winch if you like.

I retired from 35+ years in research engineering and I was the "fab man". I'll take a better kook and see what I can come up with. Thanks fror the heads up... Cheers... Ron
