Primary sheave cracks! Kaboom?!

So I’m in the middle of some preventative maintenance and pulled my primary off to clean and inspect and noticed some cracks around the inside of the primary sheeve. Wondering if anyone else has seen this? Interwebs consensus is that it’s casting cracks and nothing to be worried about… I’ve grown attached to my right leg and wouldn’t be happy about aluminum flying through it. Discuss….

I've seen cracks in aluminum like those outlive the machinery that the part was on.

But you can always replace it with a new one and keep the old one for a spare.
I might use a different word. Casting marks. A crack would indicate a change or movement in the metal. I do not see any signs of flex, fatigue, a gap, etc.
Glad we finally got a new thread though!

Some look closer to cracks than casting marks, but I thought the same thing at first.

Firemed you could always take some sandpaper and go over what appears to be cracks and see what they look like once you get a consistent surface.
Seems the casting marks are very common if it is not on all of them but I don’t recall ever hearing of one to come apart.
