Hello all,

I currently have a 2" lift and 28" Mega Mayhams coming that will be put on my 2019 Yamaha Kodiak 700. People have been telling me to shim and upgrade the spring in the clutch.

Ordered the shim pack off ebay and have the gold spring coming soon.

I have looked all over the place, what are the torque specs for the 22mm nut on the primary and secondary. As well as the 45mm nut holding down the spring.

Thank you in advance.

Primary sheave is 100 ft/lbs
Secondary sheave is 72 ft/lbs
Secondary spring retaining nut is 60ft/lbs

I also did the 1.5 mm shim and a stiffer spring mod with great success for 1000 miles before upgrading to my current machined sheave.

You need to make or buy a secondary spring compressor.
I used a magic marker on the sec spring nut

I bumped the nut loose with an impact just a wee bit, then compressed the spring then turned the nut off by hand counting revolutions.
Taking off the others was just impact.
Someone makes special tools for tightening them and the spring compressor. I have them floating around here somewhere for the next time.

If you get into the wet clutch itself note that the threads are backwards on it's main nut inside the engine...at least it was for the 2018.
