supposed to be optimised for low and middle...

Not sure how it'll do on steep hills as it was designed as a work ATV of sorts with reliability and durability in mind. It should do fine on rough terrain with rocks and such.

Rough terrain with rocks and that sort of resistance it shouldn't have a problem.
For some guys hauling a load like a trailer, wood chipper, etc. knowing the power delivery and response of the engine going up inclines will be a must. But as mentioned it was optimized for low and middle.
