I'm just using the stock tires. Not going to upgrade till they have worn out. They have been great on sharp rocks, through cut blocks of sharp trees and general use. Can't justify changing them.
We ride year round here, its mild in my region as I'm on the coast. Only gets really cold at high elevations. I go on sunny days to get out of the house and the odd rainy day to hit the muddy areas. Some good quading where I live.
That is incredible, the view of those mountains! Is that far from your house? 4 hours seems like a pretty long way you've journeyed into the mountains.
I drove 30 min from home to off load. Then headed up the mountains. So really we only on the quads for 3 hrs. Stopped lots and glassed cut blocks looking for Bambi's dad. Also watched a heli logging operation for awhile. Great pilots with powerful helicopters. That picture is from Jones lake near Hope BC. For any Rambo fans, Hope was were First Blood was filmed.
Must be awesome to be one of those pilots, getting the sort of view they do of that area. Sight to really take in. But can't be as fun as having 4 wheels on the ground (IMO), the experience hits a lot of senses
