Passenger seat

Got around to having some free time this afternoon (still way too early to ride around here) so it was a good time to install my WES Industries Classic seat. The intention is to only have it on the bike when my 4 year old grandson is riding with us. I'm not a big fan of these seats because of CG considerations, and they are plain old gaudy IMO, but this one isn't too bad. Its pretty light and compact. I just wish Yamaha would come out with a true long wheelbase 2 up ATV with this platform. The only choices are Can-Am and Polaris. I won't buy either.

Hows does the Kodiak feel with the rear seat on along with your Grandson? Does it feel off balance?
I haven't had him on there yet. It is still winterish conditions around here. I'm hoping to get a ride in soon though. The seat itself doesn't weigh very much at all. Maybe 20lbs.

That's not bad weight for something that big in size, probably surprised you the first time you held it.
I just installed this also. I took my woman for a ride she felt safe and loved the hand grips and said it was comfortable. but we just did smooth riding, in a field and on the road. I have a 7 year old and will feel much better knowing she can't fall out. The quad handled well. but i would like to try going up a steep hill. I put in the risers for the feet but she could not reach them but used them to get up in the seat.

Thats the same one I installed.
Good choice! I did put a couple extra Ubolts in it. Tried it out with the kid it worked great! Kid loved it! I felt good knowing she was not going to fall off. She loved having the handles to hold on to.
How's the storage space in that seat or does it not double as a cargo holder?
I'm looking for something i can relax with by myself, going to get one of these i think. would be perfect and it folds down into a seat pad.

only $40
Even better that it folds down properly and doubles as some small storage since i'm sure there are some things some of us have which can go in that little pocket. especially things we need quick and frequent access to.

Great storage. You can look it up online. I went with the WES Econo it did not have the rear brake light.$219 Amazon. I'm happy with it I cut off the bolts inside above the nuts and put silicone on them so they don't dig in to stuff in the box. The box is open on the bottom in the center so you can carry an axe or something long inside. there is a little separate compartment for a gas can that is nice, with it's own drain. The best part is the rider has padded handles to hold on to.I put a few extra U bolts on and filled it with gear to take on every ride.I just put a American Trails fender bag on the left fender it is great. Amazon for that to, nice lot of room and heavy duty.
