I was at Harbor Freight a short time back and got a new rope for my winch. It claims to be strong and better than the steel cable, but it is so light, that I can't work up the courage to put it on. Any thoughts?

Did it give you the tensile strength in the specifications?

I have some nylon cable pulling cord or tape that is rated at 2400 lbs but if it gets into brush it will snag up on a thorn.

Lightweight cast aluminum fairlead prevents binding to protect your synthetic winch rope
