Hello all,

Just purchased the Kodiak 700 Camo, base version, no EPS. Love it. Spent a lot of time researching brands, and there really was no other obvious choice. Spent time here reading posts and so on.

One question to other Base owners. My model has the brake lights only working with the right handlebar lever. The left handlebar lever and the foot pedal brakes do not activate the brake light. Is this standard? I know they kept the cost down a lot by keeping things simple, which was good, but this one seemed odd to me.

Look forward to hearing back from you all. Logged over an hour the first day breaking her in.

Got the same 4wheeler Friday, just waiting for the winch and hour meter to be installed, pick it up this week. Dealer sold me the camo at the solid color price. Get it home try it out and head to West Virginia in March.

I'm also looking forward to getting it muddy, but most likely it will be clean and out on the ice with me ice fishing this weekend. Will definitely send a pic with my set up there and dragging my equipment behind me to get where I need to go. Can't wait for this thing to get me where I'm going and collecting my catch for a fish fry!

Still just as good or better... of course for ice drifting ;)

Check your owners manual for brake switch adjustment. Also, if the free play in the brake pedal and rear brakes lever is not right, adjust that first, it's going to effect the brake switch. When all adjusted right, light should work :smile2:

My bad on the switch, the Kodiak 700 does have brake light switch on the lever and petal after all. I pulled the spring a little with my fingers this morning, heard a little pop and it has started working. Must have been stuck. Thanks SuperNootz and VladTeps.

The spring going to the rear brake switch is where the brake cables end on the rear end. It worked for awhile then quit again, I think I will have to adjust it. Being a large fellow, I will have to pull the wheel off to adjust the switch.
