Not sure this the right place to post this (i'm new here) 2004 Kodiak 450 auto 4x4. Don't have a book yet (on its way)
cable that goes to the shifter box from foot peddle. What does that do in the shifter box. Pulled the boot off , I see where it goes in the box but theres nothing on the inside of the box but a hole ….. I'm here to learn

That has to be the cable that releases the lock that prevents you from shifting into, or from park or reverse without depressing the foot brake.

Yup , figured it out. That pin on the end of the cable was froze up in the pull position . Some moron for reasons unknown sealed up the drain in shifter box, was full of water and frozen solid :rolleyes: All taken care of now and working..... Back to the project :laugh:
