Want to put a LED bar on my bike. would like to see pics of Kodiaks with LED.
Ordered fairing will be in next week and I have the third light.(SE)
I was out last weekend and buddy had LED light on his grizz and it blew me away the difference in light.

I just bought this 2016 Kodiak and I put this Light Bar on. I also changed the stock headlight bulbs to Led Bulbs. The led bulbs are SO much brighter! the headlight bulbs do not have high beam so I just spliced Led light bar into the the headlight high beam wire so the stock light switch on low beam the headlights come on and when switched to high beam they all come on. It was very easy. It is crazy bright! I also changed the brake light bulb to led and that is also at least 2 times brighter. Led uses very little power but do not try to put a real big light bar without using a relay.

I have the 7.5" kimpex combo light on mine. Great addition to the Kodiak. I am in NS also.

Could we get a little detail on the led replacement headlamps? What is the bulb number ? Any mods needed? Thanks

I bought this 12" combo Spot/flood 72 watt from eBay item number:391209299451 I only paid 27 dollars and it crazy bright and the spot Leds give you the long distance. This seller has tons of the good Cree Leds. You can get them in a lot of diff sizes. 7" 9" 10" Just be careful a lot of the Lights on ebay are junk.

Hey Pikester
Take off the front rack and cover, You will see the wire going into the head light I spliced about a foot up from the head light bulb. Just make sure you have enough slack in the wire from the new light Bar.

Kodiakjoe,

Dumb question, but were you able to mount the LED light-bar with the included mount, or did you use something else? I looked closer at your picture, but I could not tell. With the parts they included, I can't for the life of me figure out how to make them work. I appreciate your help & ride safe!

Thanks,
Pikester

Pikester, Yes i used the brackets that it came with. Maybe you need to flip the bracket upside down? The only thing I needed to buy was longer bolts and make sure you also use lock washers. I will see if I have another picture with a diff angle. Also I drilled the holes in the rack a little bit of an angle so The bolt heads were not on top of rack. Hope that helps you.
