I just bought a 2017 Yamaha Kodiak 700 4x4 EPS. The Manual says I have a 4.75 gal tank with a 1.06 gal reserve....here is my question..

Does the 4.75 gall capacity include the reserve capacity of 1.06...or .... do I have 4.75 gall + 1.06 gall for a total of 5.81 gallons?

I ran my first full tank out until the reserve light came on and I got 55 miles to the tank. I am just trying to figure out if I burned 4.75 gall or 3.69 gallons(less reserve)?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You have a total capacity of 4.75 gallons. There really is no reserve but the low fuel light comes on when there is just 1.06 gallons left.

So how much gas did you put back in when you hit the low light.

I know I usually can run about 80 miles and I'm down to one bar on my fuel gauge.I've never ran it low enough to get the fuel light to come on. I know my stock rig averages right around 20MPG's
