Kodiak Compared on Price

I think Yamahas advantage here comes from the fact that they've priced a more powerful machine against lesser rivals...

For price comparison, the base Kodiak 700 ($6,999) is the same price as the Can-Am Outlander L 500, $400 more than the Polaris Sportsman 570, and $800 more than the Honda Rancher 420

I think that pricing may make people feel that the Kodiak is the best value for their dollar.

depends, the Can-AM offers the only 5 year warranty in the industry. http://www.atv.com/manufacturers/can-am/2015-canam-outlander-l-450-and-500-preview-2289.html

Depends, the Can-Am comes with the industries only 5 year warranty, depends on what people value. if its used to run a business then 5 year coverage is hard to compete with no matter your specs...

exactly

for someone like me that would be using an ATV mainly for business purposes that warranty goes a long way.

ok, so why havent you bought a Can-Am then? Clearly it ticks all your needs including longevity...

Not in a rush to buy yet, still weighing out my options.

fair point, you just made it seem like for what you were seeking the warranty kind of trumped all other factors. My mistake ;)
Like I said it goes a long way.

Won't be a defining factor but something to be factored in indeed!

What kind of quality are we looking at here though? Don't need a warranty if there aren't any problems.
