I used to use a dowel in one of my old snowmobiles start with the tank completely empty and add a gallon put the stick in and mark it where its wet and keep doing this till its full and there you have it a very accurate/simple gas gauge.:grin2:
your Diy method may be accurate and cheap but it doesn't have a fancy gauge. :grin2:
actually going to write down your idea for future reference.

That definitely is a great idea, but I would love a fancy gauge ! There should be something simple considering I'm sure you aren't the only guy that wants one.

Would be great if somebody comes up with a guaged gas cap. I have been trying to figure out a gas gauge for mine as well.

Unless there's something universal out there it's going to be up to a community like us to come up with a DIY or something. So far i'm liking what OP did here. Too bad the market for something like this isn't big enough for a Kodiak-specific product.
