im wondering the same , im 100% ordering the sport utility EPI clutch kit but was also wondering on the pipe.. but if it does not increase power by that much whats the point of wasting 700 dollars.. i might create my own more free baffle just to open up some exhaust flowLooking for opinions. Is the HMF optimizer and Slip On worth it in Terms of performance? I would like to add an EPI sport utility clutch kit as well.
Yeah the claim I believe is a 6% power increase. But don't quote me on that. Which around 3hp is a decent bit for a fourwheelerim wondering the same , im 100% ordering the sport utility EPI clutch kit but was also wondering on the pipe.. but if it does not increase power by that much whats the point of wasting 700 dollars.. i might create my own more free baffle just to open up some exhaust flow
I try to stick with that. But it never ends up that way haha. I like making modifications to things, especially when I'm curious as to whether something actually works. My expensive weakness hahahaI installed a stainless full system on my last atv. The stock system rusted out so had to go new. Was very impressed with the fit and finish. Very disappointed with instructions saying i needed to repack the slip on after every 15 hours of use. Had i known that, wouldnt have gone with that system.
I did a lot of performance mods on my previous machine. My new mantra is, if it aint broke, dont fix it!
yah there all so expensive.. HMF and Big Gun are just $$$ lol and you need the optimizer according to HMF , could just be a money grab lolYeah the claim I believe is a 6% power increase. But don't quote me on that. Which around 3hp is a decent bit for a fourwheeler
Yeah I mean they always say the key to more power is more air in and more air out. Maybe if I feel like spending the money I'll have my local shop dyno the thing after install. They usually run a dyno day in the summer for bikes and fourwheelers.yah there all so expensive.. Seeing a dyno chart is key ! The "Butt Dyno" usually feels it anytime you change anything lol, but the numbers won't lie :wink2:Yeah I mean they always say the key to more power is more air in and more air out. i emailed them and they gave me a part number for kodiak700 sport utility clutch ! and they emailed back within like 20 minutes i was pretty impressed!I have done both the EPI Sport/Utility kit, and the EHS Bullet Box with Barker's Slip-On exhaust. The clutch kit is phenomenal! It really woke my Little Bear up! I installed the pipe and fuel box, last night, and have not had much of an opportunity to ride, yet. I posted threads about both of these items in the engine/transmission area of this forum. As I continue to ride, I will update them to keep you all posted on how my machine's performance has been affected.
I understand that EPI does not, yet, have their Kodiak clutch listed, as of yet. However, if you call them at 218-829-6036, ask to speak to Chad. Tell him that you want the same kit that is on John's Kodiak SE. They are great people, and will be happy to assist you with making your Kodiak perform.![]()
That's quite impressive, wish more companies were like that. Hopefully that response rate holds up if anything major comes up. Just goes to show up much Yamaha values how they serve customers.i emailed them and they gave me a part number for kodiak700 sport utility clutch ! and they emailed back within like 20 minutes i was pretty impressed!
