recently my 16 kodiak 700 has been giving me issues.
In order for me to start it i must keep the throttle down.
once i get it started atv dies. whenever i get it to stay on, i take it for a spin and it doesnt go over 20mph. and its starts bogging down and eventually it dies.

ive had people tell me its the fuel pump or the throttle position sensor.
ive changed my spark plug. cleaned the air filter. and do my general maintenance to the atv.

if yall can lead me towards the right direction it would be highly appreciated.

im a first time owner but i am mechanically inclined to do the work myself.

It sounds like a fuel restriction, such as a plugged fuel filter. With the fuel injection system it is beyond my old school mechanical ability to diagnose ailments even though I could tear a V8 apart and reassemble it practically in my sleep including the carb....well, back in the day when cars and trucks had carbs.LOL

There is no fuel filter on these rigs. It depends on a sock on the fuel pickup on the inlet of the fuel pump in the tank.

When did you buy the Kodiak? From what I remember reading there were some problems with the throttle body on the earlier ones.

I think that I would bite the bullet and take it to the dealer and have them check it out.
