The wife and I just finished riding the last two of the ten open systems last week.
We started in 2020 and, together we have five trips under our tires. I have been there seven times myself.
We/I have ridden some of the systems 2-3 times and I don't think I'll ever get tired of them.

Another system is supposed to open late this year or early next year. We'll plan a trip for that one too.

It’s on my list of trails to ride , what’s your favorite one?

I prefer the northern systems. Rockhouse, Buffalo Mountain and Bearwallow.
They are the original three and they are more technical, and more fun than the southern systems.

I can't say a particular one. They are all a lot of fun with nice scenery. If you stay in the area you can ride all of these and Devil Anse without any trailering. Devil Anse connects Rockhouse to Buffalo Mountain directly, and Bearwallow is a short ride by road or Outlaw trails from Rockhouse.

Have you had a chance to ride Ivy Branch? It is a smaller trail system but has a lot of variety. The blues and greens are an easy yet fun ride but if you want to risk death those options are also available!

We rode Ivy Branch and Bearwallow this trip. We really enjoyed both. The blues at both were a lot of fun.
They were the last two systems that we hadn't ridden before.
We stayed in Logan so the ride up to Ivy was only 40 minutes or so.
Ivy is going to get the connector over to the old Hobart mine site. People ride it all the time, but it is not part of the H/M system yet. There is a TON of trails over there and you can ride for days. Years ago H/M had another trail system basically across RT 119 from Ivy Branch called Waterways (they still have a visitors center there and you can see it from the Ivy Branch trail in one spot). I have not been over there for years but I am told there are still a bunch of the old trails that are ridable.
If you leave Ivy and head towards Charleston on Rt 119 (by truck/car) you will come up on Corr. G (GPS the Cabelas in Charleston) and there are a bunch of places to eat (Stuff like Logans, Qdoba, Red Lobster, etc...) if you want stuff like that. Head south and you can work your way to several other trail systems but there is a lot less commercial development as you go south.
If you haven't guessed, I live pretty close to Ivy (25 miles maybe) so if you have any questions let me know.
