hi all, hoping someone can help solve this problem...my kid rides a youth atv (arctic cat 90) it is a brand new 2018--when he picks up speed (10mph or above) a high pitch revolving squeal (like someghing going round and round) is heard from behind--strangely you cant hear it when youre actually on top of it...there is no noise at all when pushing it by hand with the engine off or going slowly..could it be a belt whining?? squeaking zirks?? i did find one zirk on the axle..i posted on an arctic cat site and got no response

You say it’s brand new...is it still under warranty where you could have the dealer fix it? Not at all familiar with this brand, but you might be onto something with the belt drive. Definitely look into that. My first thought was maybe a brake dragging until you said it pushes fine with no one on it, but maybe you’re son is riding the brakes like with his foot sitting on the brake pedal? Good luck.

Make sure nothing is blocking the air flow too.

Ive seen a side by side with water in the breather box do some loud squeeling
