I got this for around the ranch... check fences , that kind of stuff. But I got it with younger riders, or inexperienced riders (the wife) in mind. Auto everything right. I find the throttle response, from a dead stop, is spooking them. It kinda jumps into motion... not a smooth start. Doe's anyone know how to adjust or change this? Thanks for any idea's. Auger.

I read in the owners manual that there is a set screw on the thumb throttle housing that when adjusted acts as a throttle stop. This will prevent a lot of throttle from being used by newbies. I set the one on my daughters CRF50 back in the day and it worked great. No matter how hard she tried she could not take off fast or go fast. Latter I backed the screw out a bit in stages so she wouldn't get scared of the bike.

Contact JBS Performance and see if the wet slug kit would help. I think it would engage the clutch quicker but at a lower rpm possibly making it less jumpy.
