Is it suppose to come on with the high beams?

It is suppose to come on when on high beam. I am assuming yours does not?

Yeah, it's not coming on. I just got it last week and finally took it out and it doesn't come on.

You're going to have to bring it in to the dealer for a check. Wonder if a wire wasn't plugged in properly.

I didn't even bother to turn the lights on the day I picked it up.

That's possible but what might be far more possible is a fuse is out, sometimes they go out at random even when new, although its not typical.

A fuse getting unseated? Could be.

the regular headlights work. Are they on separate fuses?

Saw this in the Owner's manual:

Looks like there are 2 headlight fuses for the Kodiak 700. I'm not sure what the cause of your headlight problem is but maybe someone else will know the cause.
