I just purchased a 2016 Kodiak 700 EPS model. I want to put the Yamaha cargo box (part number B16-F83P0-V0-00) on the front, but not sure if it will block the handlebar headlight. If anyone has one installed on their Kodiak and could let me know how it looks and if it blocks the headlight, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Haven't seen anyone here with that setup as yet but I have seen owners reporting their updates on social media, so you might want to see what shows up on those platforms... instagram has been getting a lot of Kodiak 700 love.

I think the box will block some of the light. I put the front rack extension on mine and you can see the rack shadow some with the handlebar light on. The rack extension is about 6" tall.

Yeah that's a downside, might be worth looking into getting additional external lighting

It'll look similar to this and the lower part of your handlebar light will be blocked.

Good excuse to retrofit a projector into that housing... that's if when a projector is fitted that the beam it emits will clear the box.

If illumination is an issue you can try adding a set of flood lights for nighttime riding.

True, that should be easily done, front grille area seems ideal for additional lighting.

Originally I was going to mount my Premier Plastics box up front. Blocked too much of the light from the LED bar.

Ended up mounting it on the rear rack. So far, Im happy with it.
