That same scenario has happened to me so many times as well. It is one of those things where you just want to say you don't need help. I don't say that as I don't want to be a rude person. But, I'm assuming you also go in with an end result in mind and then while there, seeing a certain item triggers a thought and you go from there with a spur-of-the-moment design process. So not that the clerk can't help you, you just don't know what you specifically need at that point in time. I can't begin to tell you the amount of times I'm in hardware stores for that type of same thing.I was in the hardware store yesterday and one of the clerks came up to me and asked if I needed any help. I just told them that I had a project in mind and was looking over things that I might be able to use in it.
Very elaborate, and time consuming, parking brakeGood job and thanks for sharing, but I have to tell you many won't know when you would need to hold this sheave, and that it locks onto the sheave.
That's one of the most redd neck tools I've ever seen. Lol I love it, and think I may just have to copy it. Way better than my 2x4 and ratchet strap setup I used. LolI welded this up from scrap parts I had laying around. I based this off from two other diy variations of holders that I found on the internet . Just thought I would post a photo if anyone wanted to copy it . View attachment 11834
