Did not even think that adding a secondary seat onto the Kodiak 700 was a possibility because so many pictures and videos only show one rider. How much weight can the rear cargo rack handle without affecting performance? Seems a bit rear heavy if someone was sitting there along with having those two carrying cases filled.

Weight capacity for both racks is 140 kg or 308lbs, perfect for the the setup required and the weight of an average passenger.

Depending on how much fun you have you're bound to get a paint scratch here and there.:grin2:
I know there's paint protection film for cars so you could try that on your Kodiak.

Yeah you can get paint protection film (PPF). Applying it yourself will save you a ton of money and turn out being really cost effective.

I'm just worried about how well the paint will hold up. Haha

same here. I have already been on some trails with brush etc. and I was worried about scratching it all up. I don't think I picked up any scratches.. seems the black plastic is in good spots to protect the paint for the most part..

Am I missing something here? All the Carbon Metallic Kodiak SE that I've seen are clear coated painted plastics, resembling a dark charcoal color. Why does this rig look totally black and with a satin finish to boot?

I'm pretty sure Canada has that flat black color...notice the reflectors too? My US Kodiak has no reflectors
