Lot of people don't like the stock tires and they seam to roll when taking corners at speed, but remember you are not riding a race bike. I have no problems with them but 99% of the time I am running at less than 8 mph and very seldom take a corner very fast.

Welcome, and yes there are better tires than stock.

Welcome fellow Canuck! Yeah the stock Maxxis tires are pretty soft.... they are fine for what I'm going at, rarely am I hitting turns at high speed....but they definitely roll.... makes for a great "grabbing" tire hauling stuff or crawling through the bush like I use my quad for though

It's been a while guys as I changed my computer hard drive and os.

I had very few miles (about 100 best I recall) before I replaced the stock tires and could'nt even get a few bucks for them on Craigslist so they went to thye dump.
The aftermarket tires are more supprtive and I would imagine better at resisting puncures from the sharp rocks we have up here in the great cold and rainy northwest.
One thing I liked about the stock ones though was just how smooth they were when I stood up and crused some easy woods and feild trails. Other than that they weren't good at anything else imo.
The off camber bypass around one of the gates for the local moutain would be more hairy with the stock tires.
Here is a couple pics from a spot a short ride from my place.
