I own a 2019 yamaha kodiak 700 eps. Was trying to push snow then it stalled out. Display reads 10 v but tester shows 12.7 . I think the false display reading is why my kodiak won't start. Any one have an idea ?
Won't start can mean a lot of things. No crank? Crank slow? Crank normally? Did you try to jump-start it? What is the history of this machine?
Thank you both . Not sure if my replies are sending. I'm getting a 10 v reading on my display but battery is 12.7 v and don't hear fuel pump cycling. Any one know if I can get a service manual or the wiring diagram for my 2019 ? Not sure what to check first or how to locate each fuse or relay.I'd start checking the battery connections including the ground
Thank you I will try thatI found my manual on Ebay, with a instant download. It contains all you really need to work on one.
Your owners manual will tell you what fuse and relay goes to what. But as I mentioned you need to check where the ground cable connects to the body and frame. Use your meter to check other connections where you need 12 volts, the power point is a good place to check and see if it has the same voltage as the battery has.
