I have a 16 Kodiak 700 that will not start. I started it up last week and moved it and it just shut off before I finished moving it. So far it appears it is getting fuel, but no spark. Machine has about 20 hrs on it. Any ideas?
Do the lights come on when you turn them on? Does it turn over when you go to start it? Does it have enough fuel or were you at the bottom of the tank? Kinda need a little more info to give you a hint of what it could be?
Issue solved. I am not sure what was exactly wrong with it.
Battery voltage was normal and lights were working. Full tank of fuel.
I took the plug out and plugged it back into the boot so I can see if it has spark while trying to start it. It did not. I put a new plug on and did the exact same thing. I then took the coil off the machine and checked the resistance on it. That all came back normal. Once I put the coil back on the machine and tried the spark test again it worked. Once I put it back together it started right up.
