Hello all,

Wonder if someone has so insight into a problem.

My engine kill switch doesn't work.

Replaced left switch to fix choke, but I noticed that there is a connector and a single wire. The single wire was not connected to anything on old switch and I can't find a place to connect new single wire. Is this why the kill switch doesn't work? Where does it connect to? Is it just a ground?

I haven't had the privilege of tearing into our kill switch on our Kodiak's but according to the diagram that I have for a 2000 Kodiak 400 it is a ground that is shared with the starter switch. The kill switch is # 39 in the diagram down in the left hand corner of this PDF.

I have a repair manual for a 2000 Kodiak so if any other help is needed let me know.

I never did have any problems with my 2000 but that manual comes in handy helping others.

Looks like the wire is B/W so it must not be a ground....runs to cdi. Just fyi.
