Hey guys! I need to replace the rear brakes on my 400.The trouble is I cant seem to find any shoes for my model. Its a 2004 YFM400FWAN Kodiak 400. Theres all other kind of designations out there but not the FWAN type.Any ideas.Oh yeah,I cant find a service manual for it either. Im beginning to see why this is called an expensive hobby!LOL! No matter,Im having fun! Thanks alot! :laugh:

To my knowledge Yamaha used the same brakes on all the Kodiak models for the same year.

The FWAN is just a model that might have to do with the body panels or style. Where did you get that designation from?


As for a service manual just find one on Ebay for a 2004 Yamaha Kodiak 400. It will cover all the models. There is a CD on there right now for $7.00
