LEDs

Hi All, this has probably been covered but I couldn’t find any recent posts about it. I’ve swapped my halogen bulbs for LEDs but I can’t find any LEDs that put off the light the halogens do. I really like the “color” of the LEDs but hate to sacrifice light. Any of you had luck finding equal LEDs?

I've come to the conclusion there are no quality led versions of the h6m bulb. I added a light bar and it blows the stock head lamps away.

I agree with nomad. A light bar does the trick.

So it doesn't steal any more of the Grizzly's "selling points". I've had good luck with SOME the cheap Chinese knockoffs, Auxbeam in particular. With the Auxbeam brand at least you get whatever LED chips they claim to actually be in the light. Many of the knockoffs will claim "Cree" or "Philips" led but come with no name chips that are not nearly as bright, and usually either a slight greenish or purplish tint instead of pure white. I have some "Autofeel" 12" 30w bars I use on my Skidsteer that claimed "cree" chips but has no name chips and actually only draw ~12w instead of 30w.

I had to go up into the woods to find my chainsaw that I left sitting on a stump a couple of weeks ago. It was dark, but it was going to rain so I wanted to get it. I took a different trail to save time, by the time I got 3/4s of the way to the top of a steep hill, there was a tree blocking the trail and it was to steep to turn around. I had to back down the steep hill using a flash light, and that is not easy. I decided then that I was going to get a good light for the future.

I have looked up your light and found it very reasonable at Amazon

Thanks for the good info!

Definitely go with a light bar. I chose a spot/flood combo. Brand is Nilight 12” off amazon. Was like $20 maybe. Made a huge improvement with lighting.
