Another tire thread! :)

Well, the stock tires aren't totally bad but as with anything they could be better.

I don't really play in deep mud very much, usually at the most on the trails I ride it might be may a foot to foot and a half deep...10-12' wide...big puddles.

Where I ride most is mountains, river rock looking areas, trees to cross, and roots.

What suggestions could any of you give for this type of riding?

Kenda Bearclaws, PitBull Growlers, Maxxis Bighorn, AMS Slingshots, just to name a few real popular ones.... I prefer 26" and maybe even 27" tires personally.

2009 Grizzly 550 Special Edition, Red Midnight Armour, EPS, 26"Pitbull Growler BG2.5 xor, on 12"polished alloy SE wheels with 1"spacers, Yamaha overfenders & windshield, Heat Demon grips & thumb warmers, 2500lbs Warn winch, two up seat / storage box, Moose rear bumper, Gold Plugs in diffs & engine, COOP45 machined sheave + 0.5mm shim (3.1:1), 18 gram weights, EPI Orange spring

That’s pretty similar to the type of riding I do minus the mountain part these days.

Every once in a while I’ll get crazy and go into really deep mud but not often.

I’ve had really good luck with 26” Bighorn 2.0

I just ordered the Tusk Mudforce tires and they've been great so far. They're certainly better than the stock ones. You can order them or many others at Rocky Mountain ATV.

AMS Slingshots in 26" here.
Very happy with them in the mountain trails I run.

They won the "Chaparral Tire Shoot Out". It's good to hear from someone that runs them.

Only problem with that shoot out was many other popular brands were left out.....
